Villa La Marquesa

Villa La Marquesa is a beautiful country house not far from the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 18 km away, in the heart of the island, where there are beautiful mountains and beautiful scenery. It is situated within a "finca" owned by the same family for two centuries. Within the property of 5000 m2 of land there are two houses.

The main house where the owners live is an old manor house built at the beginning of the 18th century. The smaller one is a house from the 50's: 110 square meters framed in the garden that surrounds the two houses. It is this country house that can be rented all year round.

The house itself has a private garden with beautiful roses and other plants endemic to the Canary Islands and an orchard with fruit trees and a 22 metre long swimming pool of modern design. Next to the pool there is a stone sculpture made by the German artist Ulrich Ruckriem.

The house has two bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms (one of them en suite). A living room, dining room and kitchen. Next to the house there is a "patio" where you can sit out in the sun or have lunch. The decoration is very elegant, with modern and period furniture. All paintings and engravings are original. In front of the house stretches a 50.000 sqm estate and garden, which offers a lot of peace and quiet, the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

Near the garden there is a huge car park from where you can see a plantation of proteas, which are exotic plants brought from South Africa and now grown here. It has a private entrance for guests and their car, so that guests and owners can maintain their privacy.

The rest of the "finca" is a beautiful planting of flowers, shrubs, orange trees, lemon trees and a wide path flanked by the spectacular blue Agapanthus trees, in the garden you can see two huge araucarias over 150 years old. These trees were planted in front of the manor house to provide shade, as it was a summer house for more than a century, from the "finca" you can walk to many places nearby through paths and trails that will take you to different and interesting places surrounding the property.

A deposit of 150 Euros is required when renting this property and will be returned on the last day of the stay.
